UGC Notice

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has planned the NMAT 2025 retake registration window starting from November 6th and going on till December 16, 2025. Candidates looking to reappear for the examination to achieve a better score can thus place their second or third attempt booking within this time interval on the official GMAC portal at ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌mba.com

NMAT 2025 test is in progress and will be held till December 19 in more than 60 test cities all over India. In one testing cycle, only three attempts are allowed, which also count the first attempt.

Accepted Institutes and Key Details

NMAT score reports are accepted by leading business schools in India like NMIMS Mumbai, ISB Hyderabad, SPJIMR, XIMB, TAPMI, VIT, SDAB, and many more. Several of these institutes consider the candidate's best scores for the admission process.

The test is of 2 hours duration and is divided into 3 parts -

  • Language Skills: 36 questions (28 minutes)
  • Quantitative Skills: 36 questions (52 minutes)
  • Logical Reasoning: 36 questions (40 minutes)

This test doesn’t have any negative marking and the candidate is allowed to choose the sequence of the sections before the test.

How to Register for a Retake

1. After doing with the first trial, log in to your NMAT dashboard on ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌mba.com.

2. You can verify the availability of test slots and centres in real time.

3. By card, UPI, or net banking, pay the retake fee of ₹3,000 + 18% GST online.

4. It is only after the payment is made successfully that a new admit card will be created immediately.

The printed admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (for example, Aadhaar, PAN, Passport or Voter ID) must be with the candidate if he/she is going to the test centre. The candidate will not be allowed if they do not have these documents.

Exam Tips and Insights

The regulation mandates a 15-day gap between any two attempts at the exam. Candidates, who set their eyes on the top business schools, are advised to take the official mock tests provided by the NMAT portal to identify their weakest topics.

Major metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad are the places where the slots get filled up quickly. Hence one should book the slots as early as possible. Last year, the number of test-takers was more than 70,000, and this year, as per GMAC, the count of candidates is expected to be over ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌80,000.
