NTA to Postpone CUET UG, New Schedule Comes Today!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to postpone the scheduled dates for the CUET program today. Yet the final announcement is due to come, which can be accessed on the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in . A final announcement in this regard is expected today on 6 May 2025.

Sources have confirmed that NTA has informed about its inability to conduct the CUET UG exams as per schedule to the University Grants Commission (UGC).

NTA and UGC will hold a meeting today to discuss the new schedule of the CUET UG new examination. After this, a formal announcement on the new exam dates will be made.

NTA was very much focused and diligent in conducting the NEET UG exams last Sunday, on 4 May 2025, due to which it was busy conducting NEET, and for that reason, it is seeking more time from UGC to conduct the exam. UGC is the parent body for the examination, and NTA conducts both the exams on its behalf.

There is a delay in announcing the final schedule, which has caused turmoil among the lakhs of students aiming for the CUET UG exams this year. Many of the students were eagerly waiting for the city intimation slips and a clear communication on the exam timetable from the NTA this year.

This year, the entire exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode for all 37 subjects. Each would have a duration of 60 minutes and have 50 MCQs. The number of shifts will vary on the availability of the exam centers; till now, two to three shifts are expected daily.

Previous year, NTA issued a formal date sheet along with the city intimation slips, but this year, all the exam details like exam centers and subject-wise exam dates are expected to be out directly via city intimation slips. Students and their parents are worried because of the delay in communication, especially for travel and accommodation purposes.
