So, the students who are appearing for the NEET UG re-examination can get the opportunity to get free bus travel to be held on 21st June. Furthermore, the decision is taken by the Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann. As per the announcement, all students travelling in Punjab Roadways buses to reach their examination centres will be allowed to travel free of cost. Additionally, the fare for one attendant accompanying each candidate will also be waived.

The facility will be available on June 20, 21, and 22, 2026, to ensure smooth travel for candidates before and after the examination.

Students and their attendants can avail free travel on:

  • Punjab Roadways buses
  • Punbus services
  • Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) buses

The free travel will be applicable for journeys to and from examination centres across Punjab and Chandigarh.

How to Avail the Facility

Candidates will only need to show their NEET UG 2026 admit card to avail the free bus service. No additional documentation or fare payment will be required.

Government’s Objective

Announcing the decision, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said the initiative aims to support students by reducing their travel burden and ensuring easy access to examination centres. Officials stated that the scheme's financial cost will be borne by the Transport Department and later reimbursed by the Finance Department.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Details

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted on June 21, 2026, across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

The Punjab Government stated that the move reflects its commitment to student welfare and aims to ensure that financial or logistical challenges do not hinder candidates from appearing in the examination. Candidates are advised to carry their admit cards and plan their travel to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
