RRB to Open 50,000 Vaccancies for the year 2025-26, Says Ministry, Read More…

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have conducted the Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) for over 1.86 crore aspirants since the month of November 2024. These tests were conducted in the different notifications having over 55,197 posts. And, now it is gearing up for more than 50,000 appointments in the financial year 2025-26.

This year, in 2025, RRB has already issued more than 9000 appointment letters in the first quarter.

Conducting the CBTs for the RRB exam is a huge exercise and requires a lot of planning and coordination from the side of the Board. Recently, RRBs have taken a new initiative to allot the exam centres close to the Candidate’s Residence, with a special preference to the female and PwBD candidates. 

This initiative requires a lot of research and conscripting a larger number of exam centres and attracting a larger number of human resources to conduct the exams fairly and transparently.

Since 2024, RRB has issued the notification of 1,08,324 vacancies. And, now for the next financial year of 2026-27, 50,000 appointments would be made.

To increase the fairness in exams, E-KYC-based Aadhar authentication would be used to authenticate the validity of students for the first time in the large-scale exams, achieving more than 95 percent of success. Phone Jammers are installed 100 percent across all the exam centers of the RRB exam to discard the scope of cheating during the exams, with the use of phones and other electronic devices.

RRBs are responsible for conducting the recruitment exams for the various posts of Indian Railways.
