SSC MTS 2026 New Update: Shift-1 Exam Cancelled at Some Centres, Fresh Dates Soon

The exam, which was scheduled to take place on February 11, has now been cancelled for the Shift-1 paper of the SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026. Although the exam cancellation is only applicable for specific venues, not applicable to the entire examination. 

Why Was the Exam Cancelled?

As many students are wondering the reason behind the SSC exam cancellation, SSC reported issues from their side in technical and administrative matters at a few centres. To maintain fair exam practice, the commission decided to take the test again for all those affected students. 

Regions affected

• Karnataka–Kerala Region (KKR)
• Central Region (CR – Prayagraj)
• Eastern Region (ER)

For the awareness and clarity of candidates, they can visit the regional SSC website, where the site shows separate lists of impacted centres. 

When Will the Re-Exam Happen?

• Re-exam date: To be announced soon
• New admit cards: Will be issued before the rescheduled exam
• Updated details will include centre, shift timing and reporting time

How to Download SSC MTS Admit Card

These are some simple steps that candidates can follow in order to get access to the SSC MTS Admit Card:

1. Visit ssc.gov.in
2. Click on SSC MTS/Havaldar Admit Card 2026
3. Enter registration ID/roll number & date of birth
4. Submit and download the hall ticket
5. Take a printout for exam day

Important Advice

• There is no need to panic, as not all centres are impacted because of technical and administrative reasons.
• SSC will inform candidates via SMS/email + website notice
• The best thing to do is to only refer to trusted sites, and for detailed information, visit the SSC main site.
