In India, UGC NET examination will be conducted across a lot of different exam centres starting from Dec 31, 2025 till the next year 7th Jan, 2026. 

UGC NET 2025 Exam Schedule & Shift Timings

During the duration of examination, every day two shifts will be conducted so that a lot of candidates can be a part. 

• Shift 1 (Morning): 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

1. Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
2. Check the website and find this text “UGC NET Admit Card 2025”
3. Fill the number of application, dob and captcha code 
4. Click on Submit
5. The admit card will appear on the screen
6. Download and save the PDF
7. Take a clear printout to carry to the exam centre

After the exam is over, candidates are advised to keep the copy of the admit card for future reference. 

UGC NET 2025 Exam Pattern at a Glance

The mode of the exam is computer based and to know about the important highlights do check the pointers given below:

• In two section, one question paper will be divided.
• Every question in the paper will be MCQs based.
• During the exam, there is no sectional break.
• Total duration: 3 hours
• Total questions: 150
• Maximum marks: 300

Mainly the question paper will be in english, but there few exception for language specific subjects.
