UGC‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ NET Correction of Application Window Available Till November 12, 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the opening of a correction window for the UGC NET December 2025 session applications, in which candidates are allowed to make changes in the error-containing application forms of the last resort. The correction facility at the official website - ‍‍ugcnet.nta.nic.in will be available until November 12, 2025.

Applicants‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) can now log in to their accounts and edit details if they wish to make the information in their certificates compatible with the data mentioned in the account. The dates for the examination at the national level have been fixed from December 31, 2025, to January 7, ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌2026

Editable Fields in the UGC NET 2025 Application Form

Applicants may revise some specific fields. For instance:

• Date of Birth
• Category (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.)
• Parents’ Names and Details

On top of that, the NTA has strongly suggested that the candidates double-check these facts and correct them if they are wrong since the eligibility confirmation and merit ranking may be done by the verification of these fields.

Changes That Are Not Allowed

Some data are always kept secure even after submission and cannot be altered during the correction period. Namely, these are:

1. Candidate’s Name and Gender

2. Photograph and Signature uploaded

3. Mobile Number and Email ID

4. Permanent or Correspondence Address

5. Exam City Preference

If there happen to be some substantial mistakes in these unmodifiable registered data, applicants are advised to get in touch with the NTA helpdesk for communication.

UGC NET December 2025 Exam Details

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ UGC NET is a qualifying test to get a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and JRF + Assistant Professor post along with Ph.D. admission in Indian universities. The December session will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and have two papers with objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total duration of the exam will be three hours without intermission between the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌papers.

Important Reminder for UGC NET 

According to NTA, applicants should complete the correction process well in advance of the closing time so that they do not encounter server problems if they try to access the site at the last minute. Any errors or incomplete data may cause the candidate to be disqualified or that their case will be delayed at the document verification stage during the admission and fellowship processes.

Note: The UGC NET December 2025 correction window will be accessible until November 12. Candidates should promptly log in to ‍‍ugcnet.nta.nic.in, check their forms, and make all the necessary changes to avoid any problems later on during the result or verification ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌stages.
