UGC NET December 2025: Exam Body Important Advisory to Aspirants

National Testing Agency (NTA) has made a significant recommendation to the students who are about to take their exams in UGC NET December 2025 to verify and update their Aadhaar Card and Unique disability ID (UDID) information before filling up their application forms. 

Key Advisory Points

To ensure that there are no complications when registering and verifying, NTA has indicated that candidates must ensure that they verify and update their official documents.

• As holders of Aadhaar Card: The candidates are required to make sure that the name, date of birth (that must be similar to the class 10 certificate), the current photograph, address and father's name are provided in the Aadhaar. 
• In case of PwD candidates having UDID Card: The card must be valid, updated and renewed to avoid any inconvenience. 

Examination Details

In December 2025 and January 2026, the UGC NET examination will be conducted under 85 subjects. The test is used to check the eligibility for the categories of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD in different universities and colleges in the country.

How to Apply:

1. Open the official site: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
2. Register with an authentic email and phone number.
3. Filling in the application form will require the provision of personal information, educational and examination details.
4. Add a photo, signature and UDID certificate
5. Pay the application fee and fill out the form.
6. Save and print the confirmation page to be used in the future.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee is as follows, depending on their category:

• General: INR 1,150
• General-EWS/OBC-NCL: INR 600
• SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: INR 325

The amount can be paid through online means using the Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI, and the last date of fee payment is November 7, 2025 (11.50 AM). 

Those applicants who have to rectify the forms they had submitted are able to rectify their forms within the open corrections window, which will be between November 10 and November 12, 2025.
