UPSC CSE Mains 2025: Exam from 22 August 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has now officially announced the itinerary for the Civil Services Mains Exam 2025. The written phase of this exam will be held across five days, from 22 August 2025 to 31st August 2025. It will have three three-hour papers on each day, two sessions each day, one in the afternoon and one in the forenoon.

A total of 14,161 candidates have passed the Prelims Exam and are now would be qualified to take the Mains Exam, which is the second phase of this examination. Candidates who will qualify for the written mains exam will be eligible for the personality test or interview.

The mains exam will start on 22nd August with the Essay paper, which will be followed by the four papers of General Studies on 23rd and 24th August. Two Language papers, Indian Language (Paper A) and English (Paper B), will be held on 30th August 2025. The two optional subject courses (Paper VI and Paper VII) would be scheduled on the final day, i.e., on 31st August 2025.
