UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: Admit Card Released! UPSC Exams on 25th May 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims Examination Admit Card for the year 2025. The admit cards are released on the official website at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in . The UPSC CSE 2025 exams would be held on the 25th May 2025.

This year, 979 vacancies are open for the applied Candidates. Aspirants who score above the cut-off marks in the CSE preliminary examination will become eligible to register for the UPSC Mains Exam. The main exam will be a descriptive one, and the exams will be held from 22nd August 2025 for five days. The Mains exam would be a descriptive examination. If a candidate clears the Main Exams, then an interview will be scheduled, and the final ranking of the candidates will be based on the Main Exams scores and the Interview scores.

UPSC has released an important notification for the candidates who belong to the PwBD/PwD category, to opt for the Scribe in the upcoming Preliminary exams. And, as per the notice, such candidates must request a change of Scribe till the 18th May 2025 by 4 PM, evening. No further requests will be entertained after the stipulated deadline.

The UPSC exam is the most challenging exam in the Country, but is also the most rewarding one. Successful candidates get the opportunity to serve the nation in various departments and make a difference in the lives of citizens of India.

Who can Apply?

• Nationality: He/She must be a citizen of Nepal or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
• Age: The candidate must be at least 21 years and not more than 32 years of age (As of 1st August 2025) for the General Category. Age relaxations are given to the reserved category candidates.
• Education Qualification: There must be a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or any equivalent degree works. 

UPSC Prelims 2025 Answer Key

The UPSC Prelims 2025 answer key will be released after the Union Public Service Commission exam is conducted on the 25th May 2025. The answer key would be released on the official website of the UPSC, and this would be available to download by all the candidates who gave the exam. The answer key will have the correct answers to all the questions that will be asked in the exam. Candidates can use these answer keys to calculate the estimated scores and to identify the areas to improve.
