Updates related to UPSC IAS, which were to be issued by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) , have been delayed due to administrative reasons. Students who are aiming to take the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2026 are advised to read below. 

UPSC IAS Notification 2026 Latest Update

The official announcement related to UPSC IAS Notification 2026 was to be released on 14th of January 2026. Moreover, the commission has notified that the CSE and IFS exams are going to be released later. The notification for that will come separately. 

UPSC IAS Notification 2026: Important Information

The UPSC IAS notification is not live yet. The moment it gets released, the UPSC IAS application form will be activated on the official website. It is a humble request to all the applicants to regularly visit the ‍‍‍‍upsconline.nic.in    

According to the existing schedule, the last date of submission for the application of UPSC IAS was 3rd February 2026.  The official notification will be released in PDF format and will contain all key information related to the examination, including:

  • Total number of vacancies
  • Eligibility criteria
  • Exam syllabus
  • Examination pattern

How to Fill UPSC IAS Application Form 2026

Students who are appearing for the UPSC IAS exam can follow the below steps and fill their application forms:

  1. Candidates need to register on the official website of of UPSC to start with the application process 
  2. After registration, the personal and basic details will be filled
  3. Play for the application fees. Candidates can do SBI Net banking, credit card, debit card, or even offline via cash at an SBI branch using challan mode
  4. Upload scanned copies of the photograph, signature, and photo ID card
  5. Fill in the remaining details, including the selection of the examination centre.
  6. Enter application fee payment details
  7. Candidates must read all the instructions and accept declaration
  8. Submit the application form.
  9. After submission, a registration number will be generated
