Does BCAandMCA has that much value in tech industry if we compare them to B. Tech and other engineering degrees. MAANG and other big companies usually prefer sofware engineers??

It's a fair assumption but to a certain extent. It's not true that MAANG companies specifically hire B.Tech or engineering degrees. In today's world, companies look for the candidate's skillset rather than the degree, hence it's a level-playing field for a student of BCA and MCA to compete with the engineers. These companies have their own tests & interviews to pick out the most skilful among the crowd, where the candidate can perform the required knowledge skills required to be tested.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and MCA (Master of Computer Applications) do hold value in the tech industry, but they are generally considered less prestigious compared to a B.Tech or engineering degrees. While they can open doors to entry-level roles in software development, MAANG (Meta, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google) and other top tech companies typically prefer candidates with a B.Tech in Computer Science or related engineering disciplines. The technical depth, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with advanced concepts that come with an engineering degree are often valued more in competitive tech environments. However, BCA and MCA can still lead to rewarding careers, especially with strong skills, experience, and continuous learning.
