Each round of NDA examination admits about 5-6 lakh candidates, and about 7,000-8,000 of them pass to the SSB interview. In the end, the number of candidates who join the NDA is actually small, with just 500-600. The NDA selection rate in general is highly competitive, between 0.1 and 0.2 percent.
This is the breakdown of the details of this topic:
Applications: The total number of candidates who apply for each NDA exam is around 5-6 lakh.
Written Exam: About 2-2.5 lakh applicants take up the written exam.
SSB Interview: Out of those who pass the written exam, only 8000-9000 applicants are invited to attend the SSB interview.
List of Success: Roughly 500-600 candidates are finally chosen to get admission into the NDA.

As per the recent information, a total of 6+ lakh students appeared for the National Defence Academy exams. The exam is conducted twice a year, so in a year a total of 12+ lakh students appear for it.
The major question that came to your mind is the concern of the majority as the passing percentage of the exam should be crystal clear in the minds of the applicants.
The passing rate of the exam is near 1%, as there are two stages of the exams i.e. written and SSB interview.
The written exam is cleared by only 7 to 8 thousand students, from which a near of about 545(approx) candidates get selected as a final selection.
So, the passing percentage is quite low, so proper, smart, and thorough study is needed in order to clear the NDA exam.
