What is graduation or graduation equivalent from any recognised university means?

A university offering a master's program mentions and requires the eligibility of graduation or equivalent degree which works as a completion of a stage or level of the program that helps in learning and knowing about the basics of a course, with the help of a graduation degree, it becomes easy for students to learn the upgraded level of a program and enhances the skills of them. 

While taking admission to a postgraduate level course, the university asks for documents that prove that you have graduated from a recognized university with a stream similar to the program and meet all the requirements of the eligibility criteria mentioned by the university.
