International law is a set of rules that guide how countries and international organizations interact with each other and with people. It deals with many topics, such as human rights, trade, crimes, the environment, and war. The main purpose of international law is to help maintain peace and order between nations. It relies on countries agreeing to follow the rules, but there isn't a strong authority to enforce them.

Organizations like the United Nations (UN) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) help manage issues related to international law, but the UN can't enforce the rules on its own.

Origin;

International law has ancient roots, with early examples like peace treaties from around 3100 BCE between city-states in Mesopotamia and an agreement in 1279 BCE between Egyptian and Hittite leaders.
