The long-awaited XAT 2025 results have been issued, and thousands of candidates all over the country are full of clarity. The applicants may access their scorecards on the official XLRI site to know their performance right now. The cutoffs of XLRI and other B-schools, other than IIM, are also being published along with the results, which provide a clear idea to the candidates about their position in the selection race. The percentile cutoffs vary depending on the educational background and gender for the flagship Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) programs in XLRI, where engineers usually have a marginally higher benchmark. Trying the BM program needs 96th percentile of males and non-engineers, whereas the female candidates need 91st percentile as per the reliable online websites such as Shiksha.com.
The HRM program is more flexible, since the cutoffs are between 87 and 95th percentiles depending on the category. Ancillary information provided by Cracku also makes the score-to-percentile relationships a little bit clearer, throwing in the line, in which a 35-40 range should put you above the 90th percentile line, and getting a 45-50 range could help you exceed the 95th percentile. And now with these score-cards and cutoffs at hand, the candidates have the chance to make decisions in a better way as they enter into the next stage of the MBA program.
XLRI Business Management cut-offs have a small difference according to educational and gender lines. The percentage requirements of engineers and non-engineers are familiar, and the male candidates tend to require higher scores compared to the females. All in all, there is the expectation of a higher percentile as compared to the sections because the program is a competitive one.

There is a better balance reflected in the cutoffs by category in Human Resource Management in the XAT than in Business Management at XLRI, with the percentile requirement a bit lower. The cutoff scores of female candidates, those who are not engineers, are a little more relaxed compared to the scores of male candidates who are engineers and those who are not engineers. The competition is continuous yet demonstrates inclusiveness in the various levels of academic background.

Some of the best B-schools accept XAT scores, and each has a range of cut-off scores. Top colleges like SPJIMR, XIMB, and so on have cut-off percentiles, and this indicates their competitive spread because only a few people are selected out of the huge pool, whereas other colleges like TAPMI, IRMA, and MICA, etc. have moderate percentiles; hence, they can be accessible to any other candidate.
There are other colleges such as KJ Somaiya, GIM, and Great Lakes, which are also in the middle range and have quality programs with slightly poor scores cut-offs. Those who need flexibility can even find opportunities in such institutes as SOIL, where expectations are relatively lower in terms of the cutoffs.

The XAT cut-offs of different types of candidates depict a competitive and yet balanced benchmark of sectional scores required in the programs of XLRI. Engineers and non-engineer male candidates are usually expected to secure higher percentiles overall as well as in sections. The requirements of female applicants are rather lenient, especially in the VALR and DM, as it comes in the push towards more diversity. The general percentile is the most challenging, which also highlights the quality of high-standard management institutes.

The XAT results are normally declared in January about a few weeks after the exam. The results of candidates in addition to downloading stretch reports, are posted on the official XLRI site.
In XAT 2023, they set the total cut off as 95 percentile in case of male candidates on both engineering and non-engineering streams. The slight difference in the cutoff was 92 percentile in female candidates of both categories.
The cutoffs of BM programs are usually higher. As an example, the BM program mandated a 95 percentile for males, whereas the HRM mandated 93, 93 for male engineers and 90 to male non-engineers. Entry requirements were also a bit lower in HRM among the female candidates.
XLRI does consider overall cutoffs and cutoffs at the section level. Aspirants are required to score low percentiles in their Verbal Ability (VA), Decision Making (DM), and Quantitative Ability (QA) to be considered in the short-listing process.
XLRI is a profile-based short-list system, yes. Female applicants and applicants with non-engineering backgrounds are usually given the allowance margin since diversity in the classroom is encouraged.
An average of 30 35 would roughly put a candidate in the 90+ percentile and has a chance of getting into institutes such as XIMB, IMT- Ghaziabad, GIM and TAPMI. The short listing scores required in SPJIMR and XLRI are usually 34.5 and 32.5 respectively.
