IIM Part Time MBA is another gesture of IIMs to benefit the Indian workforce with quality management education. These courses follow a different learning format which includes campus-based weekend classes. The names of these IIMs include IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Shillong, IIM Kashipur, and IIM Vishakhapatnam. Other members of the IIM family do offer programs for working professionals but in some other names like Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Executive programs in Management, etc.

Considering the need for technical training in executives, the period of these part time courses at some institutions has been set for more than that of a regular MBA course, i.e., 3 years. This longer duration sometimes makes professionals step back from taking up this course. 

Despite being designed especially for working professionals, the majority of them are not able to opt for one! The reason behind it is the screening process which is not easily crackable by all the aspirants and in some cases the longer duration. Thus, an online IIM part time MBA has also been launched to turn the dream of IIMs into reality for all!
