LLM Part-Time Eligibility & Duration

Eligibility criteria for LLM in Part-Time mode:

• Must have completed LLB with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university, however, some universities have different minimum percentage criteria.
• Must have qualified marks in the entrance examination conducted by the university itself or by the government of India.
• Students must have prior knowledge of the fields.

Duration of LLM in Part-Time mode:

The duration of this LLM program for working professionals may vary from one year to two years. It depends on the universities and the facilities provided by them to the students.

Skills required for an LLM Part-Time Program

• Time management: To become a good Legal professional, you need to enhance your time management skills, which come with time and experience. This skill helps your complex schedule get scheduled.
• Legal research skills: Research skills are necessary for a legal professional. Based on your research skills, you can prepare your drafts easily and more effectively. You must have legal research skills to prepare well-maintained and detailed drafts. Each case needs deep research to be presented before a court or judge.
• Critical thinking: Critical thinking is one of the necessary skills that every legal professional just has, as without this skill, you can not be considered a good lawyer or legal professional. If talking professionally, in the life of a legal professional, there can be multiple critical situations that s/he needs to resolve or come up with a great solution that may help to cope with the situation.
• Communication skills: To be a good lawyer or LLM professional, you must have communication skills that allow you to talk or speak accordingly, whether you are with your colleagues, clients, family, or in court. Lawter words may impact the client and can help in building trust and confidence.
• Self-motivation: It is a key skill for lawyers as it will help them confidently communicate whatever they wish. Also, self-motivation is a skill that is required to complete the degree, as this is one of the toughest degrees to do. Many of the students or working professionals left the degree in between.
