One of the basic eligibility criteria to apply for MCA is the study of Maths as a main subject at graduation or 10+2 level. In the case of B.Com, you fulfill this criterion well, thus, the program can be pursued without any doubt.
The course duration of online MCA after B.Com is 2 years which is similar to the regular MCA program.
Some universities offer MCA programs even if you have not studied maths at either 10+2 or graduation levels of education. Although you need to study & pass some add-on subjects of maths in the MCA syllabus to get the degree.
Due to the outgrowing needs of the IT industry, the demand in the industry has increased by many folds & is expected to keep on increasing at a faster rate in the upcoming years. Thus, the employability scale for MCA graduates is quite good.
You can opt for an online MCA after B.Com if you wish to gain on-field practical experience while earning conceptual knowledge. Most IT firms hire online MCA pursuing candidates & promote them according to their performance after the completion of the program.
