GATE is a common national-level entrance exam that is conducted to offer admission to M.Tech at government universities. Besides, this exam is not mandatory at all private universities & is even not needed to enroll in the “M.Tech for Working Professionals.”
The duration of M.Tech is 2 years whether opted after B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.Sc. However, in “M.Tech for Working Professionals,” this duration gets changed to 2.5 years as per the guidelines of AICTE to add an extra semester in the flexible format.
