Eligibility Criteria of Online BA in English
The general eligibility for students to take admission in an online/ODL BA in English is that the student should have completed their 10+2 level education, i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Education. Students from any stream can seek admission in this course and some universities may require the candidate to have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the HSC examination.
For studying BA English the student must have English as their medium of instruction at 10+2 level. Some universities may require the candidate to have a minimum score in graduation (around 50% aggregate or more) to be eligible.

Being a UG degree course, the course duration for BA English is 3 years (consisting of 6 semesters). The maximum period of course completion is 6 years.
Admission Process of Online BA in English
The full admission procedure is completed online but in some cases (ODL mode), students may need to dispatch scanned copies of their documents to the university through post.
- The students must first visit the official university website.
- Upon visiting the website of the university, the candidate can choose to apply to the programme.
- They must fill the application form of the university with their basic educational and qualification details.
- After this, the candidate needs to attach the digital copies of their personal and academic documents as necessitated by the university for verification. In case of an ODL programme, the student would have to dispatch physical scanned copies of their documents to the university campus for verification.
- Once the application of the candidate has been screened and their admission confirmed, the candidate must pay their course fee and registration/admission/application fee.
