The CTET 2026 September exam is going to be conducted on 6th September, 2026 by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Since the exam is not so far away, the admit card is going to be released soon. Also, before the admit card, CBSE is expected to issue the CTET exam city intimation slip for candidates to know which city is allotted. Candidates who successfully registered for the CTET 2026 September session will be eligible to download their admit cards once released.

CTET 2026 Admit Card: Details

The CTET 2026 admit card is mandatory for appearing in the examination.
Candidates can download the admit card online from the official CTET website.
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre.
Candidates should carefully verify their name, roll number, exam date, shift and other details after downloading the admit card.
Candidates must follow all the instructions mentioned on the CTET 2026 admit card.

CTET 2026 Exam Date and Shifts

The CTET 2026 examination will be conducted in two shifts on September 6.

Shift	Timing	Paper
Shift 1	9:30 am to 12 pm	Paper 2
Shift 2	2:30 pm to 5 pm	Paper 1

CTET 2026 Exam Pattern

The CTET question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have four alternatives, with one answer being the most appropriate.

Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking in the CTET exam.

The CTET 2026 exam will have two papers:

Paper 1: For candidates who intend to become teachers for Classes 1 to 5.
Paper 2: For candidates who intend to become teachers for Classes 6 to 8.
Candidates who want to teach at both levels must appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

What to do after CTET 2026 Admit Card is Released?

Candidates should download their admit cards as soon as CBSE releases them. They should verify their name, roll number, exam date, shift, exam city, and centre details.

Candidates appearing from another city should use the CTET 2026 city intimation slip to plan their travel in advance. The admit card should be carried to the examination centre along with the other documents specified by CBSE.
