So, IGNOU has invited candidates for admission to 9 one-year Master’s degree programmes for FYUP graduates. The application deadline is 16th of August. Furthermore, the programmes provide an accelerated postgraduate pathway in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Applicants should keep their APAAR ID ready before beginning the admission process.

IGNOU’s one-year Master’s programmes are not open to every graduate. This accelerated pathway is strictly for students with a 4-year FYUP degree with Honours or Honours with Research.

Students with a traditional 3-year Bachelor’s degree cannot apply for these programmes.

IGNOU Admission 2026: Application and Scholarship Details

Firstly, those candidates who are facing any difficulty in creating the APAAR ID can take assistance through the university’s support facility.
To note: After the admission confirmation, the eligible candidates can apply for Government of India Scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal.
IGNOU has also advised students awaiting confirmation of their July 2026 fresh admission applications to check the Online Admission Portal regularly.
If any discrepancy is found, students will receive a notification through their admission portal account. They will then have to upload the required documents or information to resolve it.
