Not yet. As of September 4, 2026, the Karnataka Examinations Authority has not put out the Round 3 seat allotment result. Since option entry shut at 6 PM on September 3, the allotment process, which involves matching lakhs of preferences against seat availability, category quotas, and merit rank, is now underway internally. Candidates are advised to rely only on the official KEA website for updates and steer clear of unverified dates doing the rounds on social media and WhatsApp groups.
Unlike some counselling processes where earlier preferences roll over automatically, KCET Round 3 required every eligible candidate to submit their college-course choices from scratch. Preferences locked in during Round 1 or Round 2 were not considered valid for this round. Between August 31 and September 3, candidates could add, delete or reorder their preferred combinations, and whatever was saved by the 6 PM deadline is what KEA will now use to generate the Round 3 allotment.

Round 3 wasn't open to every KCET candidate. Broadly, three groups qualified:
Did You Know?
KCET 2026 saw 3.30 lakh registrations and 3.09 lakh candidates appear, but 16,232 did not secure a valid rank. While 2.92 lakh candidates became eligible for admission, getting the desired college or engineering seat is still a separate challenge.
If KCET counselling doesn’t get you the college or course you wanted, don’t let one admission cycle put your education on hold. Consider an Online Degree from a UGC-approved university as a Plan B.
With CollegeVidya, you can compare recognised online programmes, universities, fees, and specialisations with guidance from counsellors.
Didn’t get your preferred KCET option? Keep your degree plans moving with a strong Plan B.
When KEA activates the result link, here's how to access it:
Getting an allotment is not the finish line. Candidates will need to act quickly within KEA's stipulated timelines:
Candidates unhappy with their Round 3 allotment should watch for KEA's announcement on whether a further mop-up or extended round will follow, as has been the case in past counselling cycles.
