As of now, NTA has not officially confirmed an exact date and time for the UGC NET June 2026 result. However, based on the agency's own notice and recent media reports, the result and final answer key for the 84 subjects along with results for CSIR-NET, ICAR AIEEA (PG), and AICE (PhD) 2026 are expected to be published on the NTA website this week, with several education portals citing August 29, 2026 as a likely release date.
Did You Know?
While most of the UGC NET June 2026 results are on track for release, NTA has ordered a re-exam for three subjects, including English, Commerce, and Sociology, scheduled for September 9 and 10, 2026. This decision followed findings by an NTA-appointed committee, which identified multiple errors in the original question papers, including factual, typographical, translation, and grammatical issues.
Importantly, NTA has clarified that the re-conduct of these three papers will not delay the result for the remaining 84 subjects. Allocation of JRF seats and issuance of eligibility certificates for Assistant Professor and PhD admission for those 84 subjects will proceed on schedule.
Once the result link is activated, candidates can follow these steps to download their scorecard:
The provisional answer key for the 84 subjects was released on August 16, 2026, along with candidates' recorded responses. The objection window remained open until August 18, 2026, allowing candidates to challenge specific answers.
NTA will now review all valid objections before preparing and releasing the final answer key, which will form the official basis for calculating scores, results, and subject-wise, category-wise cut-off marks.
Candidates who qualify the UGC NET will be eligible for one or more of the following, depending on their score:
