The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC NET June 2026 re-exam admit card soon. The hall ticket for the re-examination of English, Commerce and Sociology papers is likely to be issued by September 4, 2026. However, NTA has not officially confirmed the admit card release date yet.
The UGC NET re-examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 9 and 10, 2026 in online mode. The re-exam is being held after NTA identified errors in the question papers of the affected subjects.
Candidates who appeared for the earlier UGC NET June 2026 examination and are eligible for the re-exam will be required to appear again. With the examination only days away, candidates should keep checking the official portal for the hall ticket.
The UGC NET re-exam 2026 will be conducted for three subjects. The detailed schedule is given below:

The UGC NET re-exam city intimation slip was released by NTA on September 1. Candidates should note that the city slip is not the admit card and will not be accepted as a substitute for the hall ticket.
Did You Know? UGC NET June 2026 saw 7.74 lakh registrations and 6.07 lakh candidates appear, but only 1.48 lakh qualified. That means 4.60 lakh candidates who appeared did not qualify, nearly 3 out of 4 candidates.
If you didn’t qualify, waiting for the next NET cycle could delay your academic and career plans. Instead, consider an Online Degree from a UGC-approved university as a Plan B while you continue preparing for competitive exams or build industry-relevant skills.
With CollegeVidya, you can compare recognised online programmes, universities, fees and specialisations with guidance from counsellors.
Don’t let one UGC NET result put your career on hold. Keep a strong Plan B ready.
Candidates must carry the printed admit card to the examination centre along with the documents and items mentioned in the exam-day instructions. They should also carefully check the reporting time, examination centre and other details printed on the hall ticket.
Since the UGC NET re-exam is scheduled for September 9 and 10, candidates should not wait until the last moment to download their admit card. Any discrepancy in the hall ticket should be reported to NTA immediately through the prescribed channel.
