Hello, it is not compulsory that you must have BCA degree. Any UG degree is the eligibility to do the MCA degree. But yes, as it is technology sector, it is preferred that you must have done BCA or any course in tech field as it will help you in completing your MCA as your base in technology sector would be there :)

No! You do need a UG degree for an online MCA, but it does not have to be the BCA. The beauty of online degree programs is that they give you full freedom to learn what actually interests you! Thus, even if you have completed your graduation from a different stream, you can still build a career in tech with an online MCA program.

No, a BCA is not a mandatory requirement for an MCA, but having a degree in computer science or a related field may help.

Not necessarily. You are eligible for MCA with any bachelor's degree from a recognized institution/University. If you have completed a bachelor's degree with a background in technology or mathematics then you have to join bridge courses provided by the university offering MCA. As far as the eligibility criteria are concerned, BCA is not compulsory for pursuing MCA.

No, you do not necessarily require a BCA degree to do MCA. The common entry criteria to MCA is a bachelors degree in a related subject like Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject at graduation level or in Class 12. Most Universities will also take B.Sc., B.Com. or B.A. graduates (as long as they have taken Mathematics), and some Universities might make you take some bridge courses, depending on your undergraduate degree is closely related to computer applications. Requirements may vary, so it is always good to consult the specific eligibility requirements of the university you are applying to.
