About Adichunchanagiri University (ACU)
Adichunchanagiri University (AKU) is a multi-faculty institution established in 2018 by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust in Karnataka, which is under the esteemed supervision of Hon’ble Chancellor Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamij. The university is situated on National Highway 75 between Bangalore and Mangalore and consists of a developed and fully integrated 67 acres of land, providing modern facilities, whilst also being committed to environmental sustainability.
ACU has more than 60 programs and over 1,380 courses, and around 850 programs have an interdisciplinary component. ACU has faculties in Medical & Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Technology, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, and Education, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs in many professions.
ACU is establishing centers for research and innovation. ACU has a Centre for Research and Innovation, an Institute for Molecular Medicine, and laboratories with partners (Bosch and Toyota). In addition, the institution provides relevant research facilities, skills simulation centres, analytical laboratories, and laboratories in its faculties across its colleges with adequate facilities.
ACU is ethically committed to sustainability and embeds social responsibility in its educational philosophy and practices. The campus has many trees, is equipped with solar panels, has biogas plants, and has wastewater treatment facilities for non-potable use. ACU provides a scholarship program, the community has adopted government schools, and actively promotes students to participate in community service programs regularly. Adichunchanagiri University has a clear fee structure available for its variety of courses, with options for either payment on a semester or annual basis. Adichunchanagiri University (ACU) Examination Pattern
Most undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs at Adichunchanagiri University use a system of semester examinations. Students who did not pass, or who missed, an examination are given a supplemental examination, and/or the opportunity to complete the examination by re-sitting at a later date. The Examination Department publishes a timetable and the examination notification in advance of their examinations, with specific dates for regular and backlog exams. Students in PhD programmes will have coursework, examinations, an interview, and sometimes an entrance or re-evaluation as part of the process. It may be required for students to adhere to the attendance or eligibility policy before being able to sit for of semester or professional examinations.
