About Assam Down Town University
The Assam Down Town University, popularly known as AdtU, is one of the leading universities in the North East region of India. It was started as an educational project by the down town Charity Trust. In 2010, this project received university status and became famous as the Assam Down Town University in the scenic surroundings of Panikhaiti, Chandrapur, Guwahati. With its establishment as a university, AdtU became the second private university in the state of Assam. The university offers multiple specializations for the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level courses, and has even extended its wings in the distance and online modes as well.
As of now, AdtU offers BBA and MBA courses in online mode. The NAAC A+ accreditation of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of AdtU has made it India’s first private university in the North East to earn this accreditation. In alignment with the UGC-DEB guidelines, the university is offering high-quality education through its online wing as well. The Assam Down Town University has a structured assessment system. It includes two major evaluation factors: one is the Internal Assessment, and the other is the End-of-Semester Examination. The internal assessment ensures a continuous evaluation system by making you go through assignments, quizzes, and other learning activities during the entire course period. In the End-of-Semester Examination, you need to pass the semester-end online exams conducted through a secure, AI-enabled proctored system. In the final result, your overall score will be calculated by taking the average of internal assessments and End-of-Semester Examinations for each semester.
