The section gives the fee structure for the students of the Integrated First Degree Program provided by BITS Pilani. The integrated first-degree programs that are considered first-tier degrees are taught in the form of a modular structure in which the student gets to study common courses that are cross-disciplinary and are designed to equip the student with the necessary knowledge & skills based on the subject he/she has chosen.

The B.Sc Computer Science program, which is provided in an online format is an undergraduate program for candidates who are looking to become professionals in the Computer Science field at BITS Pilani. The duration of the program ranges between 3-6 years. The curriculum for this program is designed to instill Computer Science skills & knowledge that prepare them for the industry that currently has a higher demand for computer science professionals. Along with that, the students of the program get to learn through industry projects and get exposure to insights derived from the industry through industry sessions from industry experts from the corporate partners of BITS Pilani. The MBA program provided by the Dubai campus of BITS Pilani is a business management program that provides specializations in two areas that are General Management and Business Analytics. The student gets exposure to all functional areas of management are Information Systems, Analytics, Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Human Resource Management. The program attracts students from diverse professional backgrounds & industries who mold their existing knowledge with the new management knowledge & skills that are equipped by them. 

Three semesters of this program are meant for classroom sessions that are molded holistically with another semester of practice school which is an internship for exposure to the industry through which the students’ practical skills will be evaluated. BITS Pilani provides various scholarships based on merit, need, or both. It has a system in place to support the student to pursue high-quality education that meets high standards and has a foothold in the higher education ecosystem. The following scholarships can be availed if the conditions are met by the student.

Scholarships for Students of First Degree Programs at the Indian Campuses

For Domestic Students:

(1) Merit Scholarship and  Merit-cum-Need Scholarship by BITS Pilani Institute.

• Awarded to 30% of the students of the First Degree programs.
• Fee waiver ranges between 15% to 100%.

(12) BITS Pilani alumni provide financial assistance to the students. BITS, in collaboration with BITSAA, provides the BITS & BITSAA International Travel Fellowship, which funds 75% of the costs incurred during paper presentations at international conferences.

• For scholarships in the subsequent semesters, the student must score a minimum of 8 CGPA to claim a tuition fee waiver of 80%.
• The next remaining in the top 4%, next 10%, next 20% and the remaining 66% students can apply for scholarship levels that have a fee waiver such as 50%, 30%, or 15%. To avail of this, the student must have scored a minimum of 6 CGPA.

BITS Pilani Scholarship for Higher Degree Students at the Indian Campuses

• GATE/GPAT Scholarship by UGC 
• The students admitted through GATE/GPAT in the higher degree programs will be eligible for a tuition fee waiver of INR 13,400 per month (during the semester) in addition to the GATE/GPAT Scholarship.
• The students who got admitted through the BITS HD Test will be eligible for a stipend of INR 13,400 per month (during the semester).
• The candidates who are availing of fee waiver or stipend are supposed to take up 8-10 hours (per week) teaching under the graduate student teaching assistantships.

Scholarship for the B.E. and BBA Students at the BITS Pilani Dubai Campus

There are scholarships provided for students pursuing B.E and B.B.A. programs at the Dubai campus of BITS Pilani. These scholarships are meant to support them as well as promote the goodness of their merit. The following are the scholarships that a student can avail of:

(1) Merit Scholarships for newly admitted students:

(A) For students who are Board toppers.

• Should have bagged 1st rank in their respective boards in class 12th.
• Will get a scholarship of 50% of the first-year tuition fees.
• The hostel concession will be 25% during the entire program duration.

(B) For students who have earned merit in class 12 exams.

• (For B.E.)The merit is measured based on the overall aggregate marks obtained in class 12th in subjects that are:
  • Physics
  • English
  • Chemistry/Vocational Subject
  • Mathematics/Biology
• (For B.B.A.) The merit is measured based on the overall aggregate marks of the subjects of class 12th. The student can be from any stream. 
• The overall aggregate marks are used to measure the fee waiver of the tuition fee under the scholarship. In addition to that, the marks are also used to measure the hostel concessions. The following is the distribution of marks with the scholarships & concessions that are provided:

(2) Special Concessions

(A) For GCC/Arab Nationals:

• Concession of up to 100% of the tuition fee for meritorious GCC/Arab nationals.
• The student’s concession depends on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and overall aggregate marks obtained in class 12th or equivalent.
• This concession is applicable for all semesters of the normal duration of the program.
• To maintain this continuity there is a condition that the student must maintain a score of a minimum of 4.5 CGPA on a 10 scale in every semester.
• Limited to a specific number of students.

(B) For the sudden bereavement of an earning member of the family:

• 100% waiver of tuition fees in the event of a demise of the earning member of the family.
• This is done to support students who face financial hardships due to being deprived of no inflow of financial support as opposed to earlier in the presence of the late earning family member.
• In the subsequent semesters, on a case-to-case basis, means, and needs, the student will receive a 75% waiver of tuition fees. 

(C) For physically challenged students:

• When satisfied with the required conditions, a physically challenged student can avail of a scholarship of 15% concession on the tuition fees.
• Along with that, academic performance should be maintained satisfactorily to continue receiving the scholarship.

(D) For Sibling:

• If the student enrolled has a sibling who is already pursuing studies at the Dubai campus of BITS Pilani, the enrolled student will get a 25% scholarship of the tuition fees.

(E) Scholarship for Sports Excellence:

• For students who have participated in international sports championships while representing their country.
• For medal winners, a scholarship of 50% of the tuition fee will be provided.
• For participation, the student will be provided with a scholarship of 20%.
• The recipient will be chosen based on a case-to-case basis and will be awarded at the discretion of the committee responsible for handing out this scholarship.
• When the student participates and wins in three inter-university tournaments in a concurrent academic year will be considered for a 20% scholarship of the tuition fee. This will happen in the normal duration of the program. The awarding of the tuition fee will be at the discretion of the relevant committee.

Scholarships for M.E. & MBA Students at the BITS Pilani Dubai Campus

The students enrolled in M.E. and M.B.A. programs at the Dubai campus of BITS Pilani receive the following scholarships :

(1) For Students who just got admitted

(A) For the students who obtained merit in the qualifying examination ( Should have a B.E/B.Tech or its equivalent)

• Tuition Fee Scholarship:
  • For students who have scored 75% or above aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • When the student is eligible by clearing the required conditions, he/she will receive a merit scholarship of 20% of the tuition fees of the first semester.
• Hostel Fee Concession:
  • For students who have obtained 80% or above aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • If the student clears the required conditions, he/she will receive a 25% concession on the hostel fees for the normal duration of the program.

(B) For the students who are UAE nationals

• Based on their performance in the qualifying examination, these students can avail of a scholarship of 50% of the tuition fee in the first semester.
• If this student wants to receive the scholarship in the subsequent semesters, he/she has to maintain a CGPA of 6.00 or more on a scale of 10.00.

(C) The students who belong to the following categories will be offered a 10% concession on the tuition fee for the normal duration of the program.

(D) Group Concession for Corporate Executives

• 10% concession on the tuition fee for master's degree programs during the normal duration of the program.
• For a group of 3 or more students from the same organization joining the program together.
• This concession also depends on the continuance of the program by the group of students.

(2) Scholarships Based on Merit for Continuing Students

• To receive scholarships in the continuing subsequent semesters the student must maintain a CGPA of 9.00 or above in the previous semester.
• Once the student clears the conditions, he/she will receive a scholarship of 20% of the tuition fee for that particular semester.    

BITS Pilani Financial Support

For Full-time Ph.D students, financial support is provided at the Indian campuses of BITS Pilani. The following are the figures related to it :

Financial Support for Full-time Ph.D students:

Depending on the qualifications, it is decided how much stipend should be received by the student:

• For students with an M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./MBA/M.Phil or an equivalent degree, the institute fellowship to be received is INR 37K per month.
• For students with a  M.Sc./B.E./B.Pharm. or an equivalent degree, the institute fellowship to be received is INR 34K per month. These students will get upgraded to receive an institute fellowship of INR 37K per month in the semester after they complete their coursework.
• The full-time Ph.D student is obligated to do 8 hours of work per week that is assigned by the institute.
