In 1994, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Online University was established and since then they have been offering online learning (OL) courses and online and distance learning (ODL) courses. Online and distance learning BA is one of the basic courses that is offered by the university. The university offers BA in various specializations which are Gujarati, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Public administrative, and Commerce. This university has quite an impact on the students and they assist the students in getting placed and also provide counseling sessions to the students.

If you are looking to take admission to this institute, you can follow these simple steps. Here are some mentioned instructions that need to be followed.
Step 1 - Students need to follow the basic instructions such as availability of the course, study center information, and sign-in details. After looking carefully at the details, students can start filling out the online form.
Step 2- For proceeding with the online admission, students need to click on the new registration bar. And there they are required to fill in the details like- Name of the Applicant, Phone Number, E-mail address, Date of Birth, Aadhar details, Gender, etc.
Step 3- After this step, select two specializations. One of them will be the main subject and the other will be secondary/ Now login again with username and password.
Step 4 - Fill in all the necessary details, then move to the online fee submission. Make sure to download the challan after fee payment after fee submission at any HDFC Bank branch and enter the details Reference number, fees, and transaction date). And also pay fees only through an e-payment gateway(Credit card, debit card, or other net banking option)
Step 5 - After the fee payment. Take the receipt for future reference.

The total credit for the completion of a B.A. is 36.
- The main subject for the selection, a student has to complete the optional courses of 48 credits.
- In the third year, the students are expected to select the vocational subjects of 8 credits but only vocational subjects carrying 16 credits will be allowed to be selected.

The Examination at the university can be done in online mode or in the dedicated exam mode, depending on the type, of course, opted for distance or online mode. Students need to fill out the online examination after the university releases the examination form at the official portal. Also, the examination is done either in term-end or semester mode.
