GLA Lateral Entry Programs

GLA University was built in the year 1991. It is developed by Shri Narayan Das Agrawal. He created Sri Jagannath Prasad Ganeshi Lal Bazaz Charitable Trust Samiti in Mathura where GLA University is located i.e. 17km Stone, NH-19, Mathura-Delhi Road, P.O. Chaumuhan, Mathura-281 406 (U.P.) India. At GLA University many UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) courses are provided and B.Tech is one of them. Here, a B.Tech degree is delivered in two types i.e. B.Tech regular and B.Tech lateral entry. Regular B.Tech is a 4-year degree course meanwhile B.Tech Lateral Entry is a 3-year degree program. 

In B.Tech lateral entry students directly enroll in 2nd year because they have a 3-year diploma prior to B.Tech. There is another option B.Tech in flexible timing for working professionals because it is specifically structured for employed groups of people. Working professionals are the people who are employed and want to pursue higher education and cannot quit their jobs at the same time for some reason, so those people can easily opt for B.Tech lateral entry courses.

Students after completing the diploma or polytechnic enroll in 2nd year of B.Tech for further education, there they have to complete a three-year degree in engineering and technology. In this degree, they get the same facilities as regular students and share the same class with them. In the three-year B.Tech lateral entry program, there are a total of six semesters of six months each semester, in the middle of each semester mid-term examinations and at the end of each semester term examinations are conducted.
