- B.Sc. degree holders can also apply for the B.Tech Lateral Entry program from a recognized university, but have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects, and an aggregate of 50% score.
- After meeting the above guidelines, it is mandatory for the students to clear the foundation subjects as per the rules of the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) Bhilai.

Government Engineering Colleges (GEC), Raipur EMI Details
The institute doesn’t offer the EMI opportunities. However, applicants can apply for scholarships offered by the institutes. In addition to that, learners can explore state government and central government scholarships for engineering students. In special cases (merit-based, economically weaker section), request the institute for partial fee waivers or payment in 2–3 installments, even if it is not a standard rule.
GEC B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission Process
Candidates have to register on the counselling website, https://cgdte.admissions.nic.in/
Step 1: Click on the “Registration and Choice Filling for CGDTE (Diploma Lateral Entry) Counselling”.
Step 2: To register for the B.Tech Lateral Entry, they have to click on “Fresh Candidate Registration”.
Step 3: “On the Registration Candidates Sign In” panel, applicants have to share the required information.
Step 4: After that, they need to fill in the information related to the Application form, Qualification Details, Contact Details, and upload documents.
Step 5: Now, they have to pay the registration fee. After registration fees, the dashboard will appear on the screen with the choices that candidates have based on the eligibility they have filled out while registering for the program.
Step 6: On the left side of the screen, applicants have Available choices, Choice Filling, and Choice Locking.
Step 7: Candidates are allowed to select any number of choices from the available list of choices as per their eligibility (State Quota, Management Quota, and Minority Quota).
If required, applicants can unlock the choice and registration process if they want to make changes in their choices. But, after unlocking, it is mandatory for learners to select the fresh choices. Otherwise, they will not be considered in the seat allocation process.
