GLIM Fellow Program in Management

The eligibility criteria to apply for the PhD program at Great Lakes Institute of Management are :

• Students who have completed their master’s degree in any field with an aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA
• Individuals having a five-year integrated Master’s degree with a 60% mark are also eligible for the PhD program
• Qualification in the entrance exam and personal interview is mandatory.
• Entrance examination test scores like JRF (NET), CAT, GMAT, GRE, XAT are also acceptable. 

Great Lakes Institute of Management provides students the opportunity to pay their program fees through different EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) options catering to different EMI for payment. The flexibility that EMI options provide in terms of the manageable financial commitment associated with Great Lakes' MBA and PGDM programs is an important benefit. For example, the total fee for the PGDM program at the Gurgaon campus is approximately INR 19,95,000 which include tuition, academic fee and accommodation charges. Students have an option to pay the fees in scheduled installments instead of lump-sum. Options like education loans or payment gateways to process payments sometimes in working collaborations with partners like Propelld, allow students to create monthly EMIs which suit their specific circumstances. Payment plans usually split the total cost into a number of twelve to twenty-four monthly installments, with sometimes little processing fees which would help reduce students' initial financial obligations. EMI plans for fees are available for both merit and management quota seats at the Institute. All segments of candidates financially are provided access to very high quality management education.

The syllabus of the program is designed for the students to gain practical knowledge along with domain knowledge. Great Lakes Institute of Management uses a continuous assessment pattern that combines many assessment types compared to most institutions (within each subject, this includes assignments, projects, quizzes, presentations, final exams). Types of assessments may include in-class discussions (so materials is continuously evaluated), projects (individual and/or group), quizzes (including multiple-choice quizzes), class participation (i.e., producing content in class), final exams (conducted after each term), etc. Theses final exams will approximately last for 2-3 hours depending on the subject. Additionally, the curriculum for the PGDM and MBA program is organized in several weeks of terms (3-4 terms) as subjects repeatedly include the same core management topics in which a sample of topics are marketing, finance, operations, strategy, analytics, and business communication.

As the students get more exposure during their program, through seminars or workshops, they are trained as a researcher or for a management-related position. 

Moreover, individuals can also pursue their doctoral degree through an online DBA program. The Doctor in Business Administration is equivalent to the online DBA program.
