The examination pattern followed by Gujarat University is the standard pattern followed by the majority of online universities. The examination held at the university comprised two main components namely internal assessment and end-term examination. The internal assessment includes all the academic activities that are organized by the university throughout a semester and it also includes the assignment that is given to students at the beginning of every semester it carries 20-30% of weightage, whereas end-term examinations are conducted to evaluate a student overall theoretical understanding through a semester and these exams carry 70-80% of weightage.

The program consists of four semesters and lasts for two years, taking in a very limited number of students in its first year.
To apply, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, have obtained at least 50% (45% for reserved groups) marks and have appeared for the CMAT test. CMAT results do not affect whether a person is accepted into the program.
