About IGNOU Online M.Des in UI/UX
M.Des is a master’s program in Design. Students who are interested in designing and the fashion field can pursue this program. Only interested students can complete this program with full dedication and energy to cope with the pressure that will be created in this program to complete their respective tasks assigned by the tutors. The curriculum for the M. Des program is designed in a way that the students can become Designers and can develop anything in their desired domain in terms of fashion and UX/UI.
What’s new at IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University)?
IGNOU starts its registration process for its fresh batch of students for all online & ODL courses of the January 2025 admission session. The last date to apply is January 31, 2025. Interested students can check and apply through the university's official website. Read more about the same here.
IGNOU offers a Diploma Program in Fashion Design and Retail (DFDR) but does not offer any M. Des program. The university is known for its online learning (OL) and Open Distance Learning (ODL) courses. IGNOU offers this 1-year diploma course that can be pursued after completion of 10+2 (Senior secondary) from any recognized board.
The university is known for its good quality of education, accreditations, and awards. Recently, it has ranked #1 university in the Open University Category of the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) ranking 2024 list. - Eligibility criteria for the M.Des program:
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 50% marks in bachelor’s (can be different according to the university).
- Candidates have to score qualifying marks in the respective entrance examinations.
- Eligibility criteria for Diploma in Fashion Design and Retail:
- Candidate must have a completed 10+2 from a recognized board
- Minimum passing marks in 10+2

IGNOU Online M.Des in UI/UX Examination Pattern
The examination pattern followed at IGNOU online for different types of courses is semester mode, i.e., exams are conducted by the university at an interval of 6 months. For online courses, exams are conducted through an AI-proctored tool for an unbiased performance evaluation of students.
