Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong) is a public, fully autonomous management institute in Shillong, Meghalaya. The program of the IIM Shillong is designed to offer management education to individuals that combines the foundations of the Indian value system, sustainability, and ethical leadership. Who Can Apply?
The eligibility criteria for the IIM Shillong PhD in Management are-
- Students who have completed their master's degree from a recognized university and have an aggregate of 55%.
- Individuals having an integrated master's degree and having an aggregate of 55% are also eligible to apply for the PhD program.
- The candidates must also qualify for the entrance examination, like JRF (UGC/CSIR), GATE, GRE, or GMAT.

IIM Shillong EMI Details
Aspiring candidates can get enrolled to the courses offered by IIM Shillong without considering the financial burden through easy installment options. The “No Cost EMI” option is applied as one of the fee payment modes at the university. Students can choose this option for a duration of 6, 9, and 12 months. This plan might vary depending on the choice of course.
IIM Shillong PhD in Management Admission Process
The process of admission to the IIM Shillong is based on the scores of the CAT, MAT, or GMAT exams and personal interviews (PIs). For the batch of 2026-2027 MBA, the CAT cutoff is 75% for general and EWS students and 50% for ST and DA category students.
