The LBS Centre for Science & Technology (LBSCS&T) is an autonomous government-established institution in Kerala offering the B.Tech Lateral Entry. Who Can Apply?
To join the B.Tech Lateral Entry course at LBS Centre for Science & Technology (LBSCS&T), candidates are first required to be eligible according to the criteria mentioned below.
- Diploma / D.Voc Candidates should have completed a 2-year (lateral entry) or 3-year Diploma or D.Voc in Engineering/Technology with not less than 45% of the marks and 40% for the reserved categories.
- B.Sc. candidates should have passed the degree examination with not less than 45% of the marks and 40% for the reserved categories. Plus, they should have studied Mathematics in 10+2.
- These candidates have to pass Engineering Graphics and Engineering Mechanics of the first-year syllabus.
- Students from outside the state or country must provide an equivalent certificate from the Directorate of Technical Education (except for UGC-recognized degrees).
- At least 18 years as of 31st December 2025. The program allows admission without an upper age limit.

The LBS Centre for Science & Technology does not offer an official EMI option for paying course or admission fees. All fees must be paid in full before the start of any course, and it can be paid online or through the bank options specified during the admission process.
LBS CST B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission Process
The LBS Centre for Science & Technology (LBSCS&T), Kerala, admission procedure is generally an online Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for various professional degree and diploma courses, medical, paramedical, nursing, and engineering programs. The steps are given below for the learners' convenience:
Step 1 : First of all, candidates should head to the official website, and fill out the registration form online. Registration involves giving personal details and creating a login password.
Step 2 : Complete the application form with the necessary details, upload supporting documents, photograph, and signature as per the given specifications.
Step 3 : The application fee is paid online via debit/credit card, or net banking. The receipt should be kept for future reference.
Step 4 : During the time allotted for it, candidates may register their preferences/options for colleges and courses.
Step 5 : According to the merit/rank list (which may consider the scores of the entrance exam or qualifying exam marks) and government reservation policies, seats are allotted through multiple rounds that are conducted online.
Step 6 : On receiving the allotment advice, the candidate should deposit the requisite fee at the bank branch concerned and report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities.
