A master's degree program lasting 1 year/ 2 semesters, from a UGC or respective regulatory body-recognized institution or university, following a four-year or eight-semester bachelor's degree program. OR A 2-year (4-semester) master's degree obtained from a university recognized by UGC or another relevant regulatory body, after a 3-year bachelor's degree. OR Equivalent degrees from an International academic institution validated by the appropriate governing body.	A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent in a master’s degree

MAHE Doctoral Programme (PhD) Admission Process

Applicants interested in the PhD program offered by the MAHE Manipal must follow the following admission process-

Application Submission- The first step in the admission process to the PhD program at MAHE Manipal University is application submission. Interested students can fill in the application for PhD at MAHE Manipal by visiting the official website of the university. Before filling out the application form, students must check the eligibility requirements for the particular subject. After checking the eligibility requirements thoroughly, students should open the admission portal of the MAHE Manipal website and register themselves by providing a valid mobile number and Email ID. Once the registration is complete they can start filling in the information required by the university. Entrance Exam- After successful submission of the application form, students will have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the MAHE Manipal for PhD admission. MAHE Manipal entrance exam for PhD consists of a mix of objective and subjective questions. Students have to qualify for the entrance to proceed to the next step of admission to the PhD program.
Interview- Students qualifying for the entrance exam are invited for the Interview. Students have to appear before the doctoral research committee of MAHE Manipal with their detailed research proposal. MAHE Manipal requires students to defend their research proposal and justify the research topic, methodology, hypothesis, and expected outcome. Based on the performance in the interview, students are shortlisted and a merit list is prepared.
