The examination pattern of the Mata Tripura Sundari Open University has two parts. There are continuous internal assessments and term-end examinations. More weightage is for the end-term examinations, about 70 percent. These examinations evaluate and grade the knowledge gained by students throughout the whole term. However, internals consist of presentations, written assessments, quizzes, and reports, which come to around 30 percent. The type of internal evaluation may depend on and vary with the course chosen.
