PSG Institute of Management Part-Time PhD in Management

Before applying for the Part-Time PhD in Management Program, students must know the eligibility criteria. This institute has the same admission  criteria as set by Anna University, as it is the parent university of PSGIM, which is highlighted below:

• Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution, achieving a minimum of 55% marks in total.
• Possess a valid score in recognized national-level entrance exams, like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, or Anna University's exam, as applicable.
• Candidates with an M.Phil. degree  with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade are also considered eligible.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled categories are given up to 5% relaxation on marks (where a minimum of 50% marks is required), as per Government of India directives.
• Research experience with publications in reputed journals is an additional desirable qualification.
• Candidates with analytical and research ability, with research aptitude and interest in an academic role, are more likely to be selected in the final selection.
• Work experience is preferred, but it is not mandatory; candidates who are currently in their final year may provisionally apply, which is subject to completion of the degree.
• The PSG Institute of Management Part-Time PhD in Management program is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
• Hold a valid score in recognized national-level entrance exams, i.e., UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GATE.
• Require prior research experience or publications.
• Must have completed M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks (aggregate).
• Require strong research, analytical, and academic skills.
• Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC, differently-abled) may be given a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required.
• Final year students may apply provisionally while still completing their degree.
• Must pass an entrance test and interview to be accepted by the institute.
