ME or Mechanical engineering branch consists of the core knowledge of machines, weapons, turbines, things that move, etc. The subjects included in this branch are engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, materials science, mechanical vibrations, etc.

The time span of this course is 3 to 3.5 years or 6 to 7 semesters of six months each. This course, students are directly enrolled in the 2nd year of this course because they have already gained all the information that is taught during the first year while pursuing their diploma or polytechnic.

This Mechanical Engineering B.Tech course is a combination of online and offline modes of education. This course is almost identical to the traditional mode of conducting education. This degree program course gives advanced-level knowledge about engineering and technology in mechanical engineering. In this course, the classes are conducted during weekends, in the evenings on weekdays, or during public holidays. The classes are conducted via live lectures but recorded lectures are also provided to students through LMS.

For practical lessons, simulated virtual labs are provided to students through which they can implement their practical knowledge. In this course, there are multiple methods to deliver information that is practical and core subjects,  projects, and elective courses. Because in this course classes are not conducted in regular mode, therefore few activities are conducted to keep students engaged, such as assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. This also helps in calculating students’ performance.

At Shri Venkateshwara University, we have eligibility criteria that a student must fulfill to get admission to B.Tech Mechanical Engineering which are mentioned below:

• A student should have a diploma or polytechnic in the relevant field or can be a 12th pass out with an equivalent degree such as BCA/B.E./B.Sc.
• A student should have at least 55% marks in their qualification.
• A student’s education should be from a recognized board of education.
• We don’t have any age restriction or limitation for any student to enroll in this course.

The subjects that we have in our syllabus are both theoretical and practical so that a student can learn the depths of it and also learn to implement it in real-time. The semester exams are conducted offline and on campus. These exams are usually scheduled over weekends. Apart from the semester exams, all the other assignments/quizzes are held online.
