The ultimate purpose of ATMA exams is to help students get into top management courses like MBA, PGDM, and MCA. It’s designed to check how good you are at solving problems, understanding numbers, thinking logically, and using language well.
The ATMA 2025 exam is a computer-based test that has a duration of 3 hours, but don't worry, it's well structured – you will be administered 180 multiple-choice questions, consisting of 6 separate sections.
The sections are split among three valuable categories as follows:
Every section has 30 questions and a period of 30 minutes to complete the section, thus, it is all about being alert and time management.
If you’ve prepared for exams like CAT or XAT, one month of focused prep for ATMA might be enough. But if you’re starting fresh, aim for at least three months. The key is to follow a clear plan, work on weak areas, and practice with mock tests to build confidence and improve your score.
Candidates who have a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% and 45% for the reserved category are eligible for the exam, as well as those who are pursuing graduation and are currently in their 3rd year. There is no age limit for the exam.
One needs to have at least 50% to pass the exam. This simply means that candidates must score 90 or more out of 180.
More than 700 colleges currently accept the ATMA score in India for MBA or other management programs. These colleges are either private or government colleges.
The fees for an ATMA exam are INR 2,000, including GST. For women, it is INR 1,500, and for candidates from north eastern states, the fee is INR 1,000.
