The National Testing Agency said on Tuesday that the CUET-UG test, originally scheduled for May 15 in Delhi, had been rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. The revised date for students in Delhi is May 29.

"It is critical that all applicants and all concerned understand that the exam papers for Chemistry, Biology, English, and the General exam, which were scheduled for May 15, 2024, have been postponed for students in Delhi solely owing to unforeseen circumstances. The examination will now take place on May 29, 2024. New admit cards will be sent to students in Delhi, according to the official announcement.

The organization will administer the CUET (UG) - 2024 test in a combination of computer-based and pen-and-paper formats to about 13.48 lakh students from 380 cities in India and 26 cities abroad. The test will take place from May 15 to 18, 2024. Students can download their admission cards by entering their application number and date of birth. Previously, the agency had provided admission cards for people.

Reason: This delay occurred only a few hours before the exam was scheduled to begin at test centers around the country on May 15. According to the NTA, the delay was caused by a lack of available workers, mostly due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

"The CUET UG exam is rather large, and we had selected several test centers with invigilators for it. However, due to the Lok Sabha elections, we were unable to recruit enough invigilators for the exam centers in Delhi on May 15. So the NTA decided to postpone the May 15 exam until after the elections, which is on May 29," revealed an NTA official.
