DBA Eligibility Criteria and Admission Procedure In 2024

DBA, or Doctorate in Business Administration is a three to five years course and is the highest academic degree that trains an experienced student to apply the theoretical knowledge and existing skills in the practical ground. Usually, the degree is mostly pursued by candidates who have work experience and prior knowledge of the market. 

Hence the eligibility criteria have to be fulfilled by the candidates to get admission in the DBA program online or on-campus.  The students must have completed the master's degree to enrol in the program. Also, students with bachelor's degrees can apply but only with certain years of work experience of a minimum of 5 years. 

What are the basic eligibility criteria to enrol in DBA Online? 

The eligibility criteria for DBA like any other doctorate program are rigid and need to be fulfilled by the candidates. DBA can only be pursued by a foreign institute/ university. The basic eligibility criteria are-

• The candidate must have a master's degree in the related field from a recognised University/ Institute. 
• Candidates with bachelor’s degrees are also eligible to enrol in the DBA program but only with a minimum of 5 years of work experience. 

Note- The eligibility criteria of the prior work experience of the candidate can vary depending on the specialisation selected and the college. Also, the eligibility mentioned above is valid for both looking for online DBA as well as regular DBA. 

Eligibility Criteria for the Students Looking to Pursue DBA On-Campus.

• Must have a master's degree or equivalent from a recognised institute 
• A managerial experience of 5 years in the relevant field.
• English requirements- The candidate must have completed the education in English. 
• Candidates who have not completed their education in English are required to appear for the English language test like-
  • IELTS- Score at least 6.5 overall with at least 6 in each subject.
  • TOEFL- Score at least 89 overall with at least 22 in the writing section and 18 in other subjects.
  • PTE- Score at least 60 overall with at least 50 in each subject.

Admission Procedure of DBA 

The admission process to enrol in DBA is quite simple once all the eligibility criteria are fulfilled by the students. Here we have given the brief of the admission process to enrol in DBA.
