GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam is an entrance exam for the students who want to pursue a master’s or Phd in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities from a Government University.  This exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board (NCB).  

If you are preparing for the GATE exam, then it is mandatory to be well-informed about the syllabus and section-wise information so that you can prepare for the exam easily. Here is the detailed information about the syllabus that will help you in qualifying for the test accordingly. 

The students who want to do a master's or Phd from the Government university must opt for the GATE exam; it is mandatory to pass this test. However, they can also pursue DBA (Doctor of Business Administration and for this course, they do not need to give any entrance exam. There are various foreign universities that offer this program, and it is also valid in India. The students who have completed their bachelor's can pursue this program, and they must have work experience of 2 to 3 years.

GATE Exam Syllabus General Aptitude

No, a 12th pass student does not give the GATE exam. For that, the candidate must have completed the third year or be pursuing the third year of a bachelor's program.
