Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) extends fresh admission dates for all Online and Open Distance Learning programs offered through the July 2024 session. Prospective students can now continue the enrollment process by 30 September 2024.
It is the third deadline rescheduling, after the previous two deadlines that made a date shift to September 20 and to September 10. Students who want to pursue undergraduate, and postgraduate, diplomas, and certificates can apply through the official online portal and the ODL portal. Students who are taking admission at IGNOU can register themselves through the official website at ignou.ac.in. For ODL registrations, students will need all essential documents and bank details ready. It will accept credit or debit cards or net banking for online registration fees.

Documents Needed
Below are the documents mentioned that need to be uploaded for the completion of the registration process at IGNOU (actual sizes of files about the particular requirement) :
- Scanned Photograph in less than 100 KB
- Scanned Signature less than 100KB
- Scanned Copy of Applicable Qualifying Education (Less than 200 KB)
- Scanned Experience Certificate copy if any with a size not over 200 KB.
- DIT Copy of Scanned Category Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) (below 200 KB)
Eligibility Criteria
Any college student who wants to get admitted to IGNOU has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the registration process for an appropriate application. The eligibility requirements for IGNOU admissions are mentioned below:
- Undergraduate Courses: Students must clear their Class 12th from a recognized board.
- Postgraduate Courses: Undergraduate graduation from any UGC-certified institution or university for students.
Note: All interested students applying for IGNOU UG, PG, and Diploma courses need to pay a registration fee of Rs 300. IGNOU Refund Policy states that if an applicant's application gets canceled before confirmation of admission, the system charges submitted are fully refunded. Last date of Re-registration has been extended till September 20, 2024. Furthermore, Rs. 200 late fees shall be applicable.
How to apply for the Registration
Here are the steps mentioned below for the completion of the registration process, students need to complete the registration form by the following steps mentioned below:
- Visit to the IGNOU website.
- Click on the "IGNOU July 2024 ODL".
- Continue with instructions to complete the admission process.
- Fill up all the details.
- Complete the online application form
- Pay the registration fees
- Save the application for future preferences, then press "Submit".
Existing students, who want to take admission into the next semester or the next academic session, can process for re-registration through the re-registration portal itself. Registration for December 2024 TEE is also open from now. All ODL and online program students eligible to appear in the TEE can submit their exam forms at www.exam.ignou.ac.in by 15th October 2024, without late fees.
