What is JELET 2025?

The JELET 2025 is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). It facilitates admission into the 2nd year in the 3rd semester of undergraduate degree courses in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy (excluding Architecture) at various government and private institutions across West Bengal. The exam is an offline, OMR-based, pen-and-paper test consisting of objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English. Candidates must answer 100 questions in 2 hours, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer and 1 mark for each correct answer.

Eligibility Criteria for JELET  Exam 2025

Details

For Diploma Holders:

  • Must have completed a Diploma in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved institution.
  • Passed Minimum Three years / Two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. 
  • For admission to Jadavpur University, the candidate must secure at least 60% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) marks or equivalent CGPA in the diploma examination.  D.Voc. Candidates are not eligible for admission in Jadavpur University through lateral entry.

For B.Sc. Degree Holders:

  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

  •  For B. Sc. and B.Voc. Candidates, the upper age limit is 27  years.
  • For Diploma holders in marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years

The JELEET application process is entirely online via the official website:

Registration

  • Go to the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board at wbjeeb.nic.in
  • Find the registration link for the JELET 2025 exam.
  • Register yourself through a valid email ID and mobile number to create a login ID. 

Fill the Application Form

  • After registration, log in to the applicant portal.
  • Fill in all the required personal and academic details in the online application form.

Upload Documents

  • Upload scanned images of your recent passport-size photograph and signature. 
  • Ensure that you have uploaded documents. 
  • The photo and signature of the candidate are to be uploaded in one go. 

Pay the Application Fee

  • Proceed to pay the JELET application fee.
  • The fee amount is based on your category and gender.
  • Complete the payment using online methods such as debit card, credit card, or net banking. 

Confirmation Page

  • After completing all steps, you can download the Confirmation Page, which means your application is complete. Your application is not complete until you download this page.

Application Corrections

  • Cannot be corrected once submitted.
  • You can correct other details during the correction period. No changes will be allowed after this period. 
  • After a complete review of the form, click on submit.

  • Put all details, such as ID & passwords, and submit them 
  • Check your JELET Admit Card and download it.

JELET Result, Seat Allotment and Counseling 2025 

 It will be released in the form of a merit list and will be available online on the official website. The merit list will be based on your marks in the entrance exam, and it's used to determine your eligibility for admission to B.Tech programs.

* You have to pay a particular amount of ₹500 (excluding the bank’s service charges) for every question if you are not satisfied with the result and want to recheck. Remember that the amount is not refundable under any circumstances.
