 The Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (JELET) 2025 is an examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to enable diploma holders and science graduates to gain lateral entry into the second year of undergraduate engineering, technology, and pharmacy degree programs.

It facilitates admission into the 2nd year in the 3rd semester of undergraduate degree courses in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy (excluding Architecture) at various government and private institutions across West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for JELET  Exam 2025

Details

For Diploma Holders:

  • Must have completed a Diploma in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved institution.
  • Minimum of 45% marks &40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD candidates.
  • For admission to Jadavpur University, a higher aggregate of 60% (45% for reserved categories) is required.

For B.Sc. Degree Holders:

  • Must have a B.Sc. degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
  • Must have passed the 12th standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Marking Scheme

  +1 for correct answer, -¼ for incorrect answer.
+2 for correct answer, no negative marking.

JELET Result, Seat Allotment and Counseling 2025 

 It will be released in the form of a merit list and will be available online on the official website. The merit list will be based on your marks in the entrance exam, and it's used to determine your eligibility for admission to B.Tech programs.
