When registering, students must pay a non-refundable registration fee and fees for their program's first year or first semester. Officially, IGNOU pushed the last day of admission for ODL and online programs from March 15, 2025, to March 31, 2025.

What are the Eligibility Criteria?
There are various options for the students enrolling in the various programs offered at IGNOU. There exist more than 200 courses in different fields of diploma, certificate, and degree types. Every program has its eligibility requirements. Here are some general criteria mentioned below:
- For Undergraduate Courses, students must have a 10+2 certificate or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- For Diploma Courses, any student who has passed 10+2 from a recognized board shall be eligible for admission to such courses.
- Postgraduate Courses will require a student to possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
What are the Documents Required?
While registering for admission at IGNOU, students shall be required to submit documents with the mentioned file sizes:
- Passport-size photograph - 100 KB
- Signature of the student - 100 KB
- Scanned copy of educational certificates (200 KB)
- Caste Certificate (OBC/SC/ST) if required (200 KB)
- Certificate of work experience if applicable (200 KB)

- Then choose a preferred course among the various options provided for online (and ODL) courses.
- Then fill in the application form and upload the relevant documents.
- After this, submit the completed application and pay the necessary fees.

What are the Fees for Registration?
The registration fee is refundable before admission confirmation; otherwise, it is non-refundable. If cancellation is requested after confirmation, a maximum deduction of 15% of the total amount (up to ₹2,000) will apply as cancellation charges.
Refund Policy
In the case of students opting for a soft copy of the SLM, only the registration fee will be refunded. If any exemption on fees is given, solely development charges will be refunded. No refund will be granted after 60 days from the closing date of admissions.
