The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended its registration dates till 31st October 2024 without the late fee for online fresh admissions for all programs in the July 2024 session. This extension of date is not eligible for the students joining semester-based or certificate programs at IGNOU. Admission forms for the July 2024 session are available at IGNOU's official portal.
In the latest announced tweet, IGNOU stated as follows: "Extension of last date for July 2024 Fresh Admission till 31st Oct 2024 in respect of all programs offered in ODL/Online mode for July 2024 session (except for Semester-based & Certificate programs)."

The last date has been extended up to 15 October. Earlier the cut-off date was on 30 September. Students can also click here to view the list of available online programs through the dedicated portal of the university and apply for registration: IOP.ignouonline.ac.in /https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
Eligibility Criteria
All Students those want to apply for the registration process at IGNOU’s ODL programs must clear the eligibility for the respective course if they want to enroll. Students can check the eligibility requirements of respective courses here:
- Under Graduate Courses: Students must have Class 12th passed by any recognized board.
- Post-Graduate Courses: Students must have a bachelor's degree from a University /College recognized by UGC.
Documents Required
Students are required to upload all the documents each of them should be in the specified sizes mentioned below at the time of online registration at IGNOU.:
- Passport size photograph: 100 KB
- Signature: 100 KB
- Scanned academic certificates: 200 KB
- Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST students): 200 KB
- Proof of work experience (in case of experienced students): 200 KB.

- Check whether your desired course has crossed the eligibility criteria or not. Use any medium that will convey to you that you are eligible for the same course for which you want to register.
- Get ready all documents according to the specifications of the IGNOU set.
- Double-check your details and then pay the fees for registration.
- Save the confirmation receipt and email it for further use.
